A big difference in eating here and at Flame in Maine. This is real Jamaican food and true experience as well. Mr Fox is the man he is always on point with making sure the proper food and service all the employees are there to help the customers. Since Covid is really is a to go place but there are a few seats available for dining in. They give you good food and good portions nothing like the false Flame in Maine.

Plenty of street parking. It's located in a busy hospital area but there is easy access to it. This is a small business but the flavor is poppppping and big! The first time I tried this place was went I was told about their meat pie sandwich. Now the meat pie lover in me came out and tried theirs and let me just say. Amazing. At first you don't feel the spice- but it slowly creeps and it's not overwhelming. The ambiance is low key. There are a few tables inside but looks like it's really for take out. Reasonable prices. Friendly service. Tip: remember if you go to a rest that doesn't speak your language. Be nice- you're in their territory ‍

This is a chain of Caribbean restaurants dotted around Massachusetts and Rhode Island...so the Providence location is on Eddy St, near the Rhode Island hospital. As we approached the restaurant, we could smell the spices and the scents on the air surrounding the place...it's that fragrant. I got a plate of oxtail, because I love a good meaty tasty tender plate of oxtail....it came with rice of course........a bit salty for my taste, but really good blend of spices. On any given they they usually have all these meals on their warming dishes, waiting to serve... Chicken (curried, fried, jerked, stewed, BBQ) Jerk Wings BBQ Beef Ribs Curried Goat Stewed Oxtails Stewed Beef Stewed Steak Tripe and Beans Grilled Salmon King Fish Shrimp (curried or creole) Red Snapper (escovitch, steamed, brown stewed) Delicious....
